ASYA PREMIER VS SHANGRI-LA BORACAY

Asya Premier Suites is a brand new, high-end resort which boasts “all the luxuries of a five-star hotel and the charming intimacy of boutique lodging.”, very exclusive, situated a hill overlooking the sea at the southern tip of Boracay, close to the end of Station 3, or White Beach. With a lot of wide open spaces and just 20 rooms, ASYA Premier Suites offers visitors a great venue in which to enjoy the great outdoors without the mad crowds summer and pre-summer tourism brings to the island. And if the low number of rooms doesn’t convince vacationers who are willing to put a price on their privacy and peaceful relaxation, perhaps the fact that guests get exclusive access to ASYA’s private cove, get private butler service with every room, wake-up to a tranquil sea view and your own infinity swimming pool in-room. Asya Premier Suites has really been built with style and quality.

I don't think there could be an even better feeling than just laying on a beach bed amidst swaying palm trees, your hand on a frozen mojito and your feet buried in white sand. A masseuse arrives for your beachside massage followed by a butler with a tray full fresh fruits, gourmet pizza, and tea sandwiches. Later on, swim or snorkel the sparkling turquoise waters of the Tablas Strait before you do it all over again. That's the typical experience you'll get when you're checked in The Shangri-la Boracay resort and spa. They may have 183 guestrooms and 36 villas, which may make it less exclusive than Asya Premier but with an average floor space of 60-220 square meters including outdoor living areas which feature ocean views from spacious balconies and porches and several villas include outdoor plunge pool, shower, whirlpool, pergola for al fresco dining and day bed for relaxation and massages, and the tree house villas will command panoramic views of the ocean and island... they have their own approach to make you feel the exclusivity and give you your own space and privacy.

The resort also has access to two beaches with alabaster sand – Punta Bunga and Banyugan. Although it is reported that the sand here is inferior to the talc-like softness of Boracay’s Station 1, these private beaches are nonetheless the utopian coastal hideaway of dreams and you still wouldn't regret booking a vacation here.

Overall. I think I'd go for team ASYA. How about you?
