Recipe # 357: Kalbi (Korean Ribs)

Prep Time: 3-4 hours to Marinate Meat or overnight for best resultsServing Size:4-6 peopleCook Time:20-25 minutes

Ingredients:
3 oz of short ribs or flank style beef ribs
4 stalks green onion
2 inches knob of fresh ginger
2 tablespoon sesame seed oil
1 cup soy sauce (use any brand, I’m stuck at the moment with Kikoman I prefer Aloha Shoyu)
1/3 cup brown sugar
4-5 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup grated pears

Procedure:
1. Take your ribs and place it inside a large ziplock.
2. Place in chopped green onions, ginger, grated pears and garlic. (Of course i didn't put garlic on mine coz my MD would freak)
3. Pour in soy sauce and add in your brown sugar and sesame oil.
4. Massage your meat.
5. Close your ziplock and shake lightly. Make sure all your pieces are covered evenly with the marinade.
6. Place in the refrigerator for a few hours but for best results leave it overnight.
7. Once your meat is ready, place it on a hot griddle or a bbq grill or pan fry it. Brush it with marinade occasionally.
