Remembering A Loved One

  • What was your relationship to _____? My ex-Boyfriend
  • What is your first memory of _____? Opening the door for him at some random costume party of a friend. He introduced himself. Coinciding, I just broke up with my then boyfriend that afternoon.
  • What is your best memory of _____? Our third date at the beach. It was so serene. It felt like we were the only two people on that island. There was no one, we walked along the shore line, grabbed a beer, sat down and dozed off in each others arms. It was the most perfect date.
  • What is your most vivid memory of _____? Him saying goodbye, kissing me on the forehead.
  • What did _____ mean to you? He definitely mean so much to me.
  • What has been the hardest thing about losing _____? Separation anxiety which lasted for 3 months. I usually am not the type to wallow and not move on. I just "bounce" according to those who know me but after this relationship... I'm still single up to now.
  • What would you ask _____ if _____ were here today? I hope you never had me believe that you were someone you were not.
  • What do you miss most about _____? The way he treated me like a kid and he was the grown up. Nonetheless, I felt needed in his every day.
  • How do you think _____ would want to be remembered? I'm so sure that he wants to be remembered not as the only person who broke my heart but as the person who taught me a lot. I mean imparting knowledge more than life lessons. But in reality I've learnt a lot of life's lessons from this failed relationship.
  • Can you talk about the biggest obstacles you overcame? Letting go.
  • What about _____ makes you smile? Our memories
  • What was your relationship like? Constructive. In my opinion we brought out the best in each other. It was just not at the right place and right time.
  • What were _____’s hopes and dreams for the future? We both want to become chefs.
